Biography:
After graduating from the University of Georgia with a B.F.A. in Art/Art Education, I began teaching at the high school and elementary levels. I loved high school for the incorporation of art history and theory into the art-making practice. Currently teaching art at the middle school level has placed emphasis on the interdisciplinary connections art makes as a visual form of expression and communication. As an art teacher, I strive to engage my students in these artistic practices to help them understand and appreciate my passion.

I received my M.Ed. in Art Education to further my research and passion. I gained even more insight in educational practices, artistic methods and concepts, and history.
