3K3 Event
As part of Waldorf College’s 50 Days of Service campaign, a 3K3 event will be held on Thursday, April 12 at 5:30 p.m. Three loops, each 3K in length, will be marked for walkers and runners for a total of 9K (5.58 miles). Individuals may choose to do one, two, or all three loops. The wag portion of the event is to welcome participants to bring their pets. The cost of the event is $10 for students of any age and $15 for other adult participants. The fee includes a long-sleeved t-shirt if registered by April 1, 2007. Registration materials are available at the Waldorf Athletic Department on the 2nd floor of the Hanson Fieldhouse. Interested participants can also contact any of the organizers or call 641-585-8182. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit the American Cancer Society. Cash donations are also accepted.

Cleverly titled the 3K3, the event name represents the three Waldorf College employees whose names are Kristi. Kristi Carlson is a professor of Art and Director of the Gallery, Kristi Leonard is a professor of Wellness and the Wellness Director, and Kristi Osheim serves as administrative assistant to the Athletic Department as well as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Waldorf Warriors Booster Club. The trio wanted to take part in Waldorf College’s 50 Days of Service initiative by organizing a service project for the community.
